Sweepstakes Winners Announced

LANHAM, Md., March 23, 2012—AMVETS lead­ers this week con­grat­u­lated AMVETS 2012 Win­ter Sweep­stakes grand prize win­ner Judy Weath­ers. AMVETS National Com­man­der Gary Fry per­son­ally called Weath­ers to con­grat­u­late her on win­ning the $10,000 sweep­stakes grand prize.

AMVETS selected the 10 lucky sweep­stakes win­ners from approx­i­mately 120,000 entries from around the coun­try for prizes rang­ing from $100 to the $10,000 grand prize. The draw­ing took place Sat­ur­day, March 17, at the AMVETS National Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee meet­ing in Hern­don, Virginia.

Pro­ceeds from the sweep­stakes will help sup­port AMVETS’ con­tin­u­ing mis­sion to deliver qual­ity of life pro­grams for vet­er­ans and their fam­i­lies. Be sure to look for the next AMVETS Sweep­stakes entry form in the mail in mid-May.

$5,000 – Lyle Dahms, Freeport, IL

$2,500 – Harry E. Foltz, Logan, OH

$1,000 – Thomas Boris, Charleston, SC

$500 – Helen Hall, Wal­dorf, MD

$250 – Rickie Reed, Troy, OH

$100 – Michael L. Kokal, Hib­bing, MN

$100 – Eugene R. Mills, Boliver, NY

$100 – Robert J. Robin­son Rossville, MI

$100 – Edward J. Houck, Zephyrhills, FL
