Wednes­day Mar 28, 2012—A major vet­er­ans group wants fed­eral affir­ma­tive action laws expanded to include vet­er­ans among the classes of Amer­i­cans that are specif­i­cally pro­tected from employ­ment discrimination.

Under their plan, laws bar­ring dis­crim­i­na­tion on the basis of gen­der, reli­gion, race, dis­abil­ity or sex­ual ori­en­ta­tion would be altered to include vet­er­ans among the pro­tected classes. Full Story
