A life member of Ohio Post 44 (Youngstown), J.P. most recently served as the national VAVS representative and Ohio NECman. The U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran is a past department commander (2002–03) and a past military and veterans liasion for the 17th Congressional district. He is one of the founders and now CEO of the Mahoning Veterans Memorial, and has hosted his own veterans talk radio show for the past 20 years.

Chad Hapner
As a life member of Michigan Post 126 (Grand Rapids), Chad has served on his department’s Finance Committee for total of 17 years, the last nine as chairman. Husband to National Ladies Auxiliary PNP Janice Hapner (1998–99), Chad has also served as post commander, department commander, National District IV commander, national finance officer and last year's national 2nd vice commander.

Dave Mobus
As a Life Member of Michigan AMVETS Post 9, (Eastpointe), and a member of AMVETS for over 40 years, Dave has served in every post and most department offices. He is currently serving his 14th term as Post Adjutant, and 19th year as the Department Executive & Service Director. Dave has the support of his Department, and the full support of his wife Kathy, who served as the AMVETS Department of Michigan Ladies Auxiliary President in 2006-07.
National Executive Director
James B. King
James B. King’s role as national executive director includes administering the policies of AMVETS, supervising its national headquarters operations and providing direction, as needed, to state and local components. The U.S. Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Vietnam joined the organization in 1969 and is a life member of AMVETS Post 4 in Mount Vernon, Ill. Jim was elected AMVETS national commander for 1987-88, after serving terms as national vice commander for membership and programs, respectively.
