It has been reported
that about 10 percent of all military personnel, and up to 20 percent
of frontline personnel, suffer concussions during combat tours. Studies
show that multiple concussions can lead to permanent brain damage.
But due to misdiagnosis, many military TBI victims are going without
the proper treatment.

National Commander Thomas C. McGriff hailed the House Committee
on Small Business today for reporting H.R.1332, the Small Business
Lending Improvements Act of 2007, and H.R.1361, the RECOVER Act,
out of Committee. The two bills included several important veteran
provisions that AMVETS has been working on for more than a year.
