Animal Planet Seeks East Coast Veterans for New Show

The Animal Planet network is looking for Iraq/Afghanistan veterans who live in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut who are interested in Adopting a shelter dog and participating in the second season of the hit television series, “Underdog to Wonderdog.”  The show will detail the transformation of once neglected and forgotten shelter dogs as they are given a second chance at life by being placed in loving and caring homes. Before producers match the dogs with the person who will be adopting them, their expert “wonderteam” will help prepare the dogs in health, training and grooming.

“We would match Veterans up with the perfect dog for them,” said Casting Producer Rebecca Chaikin. “We are looking for Veterans for whom this would be very positive. These would not exactly be service dogs but more of canine companions that could help veterans along.”
