AMVETS LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
January 21-23, 2011
From the Commander:
You are officially invited to attend this year’s AMVETS Leadership Conference!
The purpose of this conference is to provide a meaningful educational opportunity to all AMVETS in the area of organizational leadership. Whether you are currently in the leadership of our organization, aspiring for leadership or just interested in enhancing your personal growth, this leadership conference is for you. Successful organizations have effective leadership models that integrate the interests and goals of the stakeholders to achieve success for the organization. The participants will learn how the leadership of effective national/departments/posts – staff, volunteers and subordinate groups working collaboratively can lead to organizational success.
This year’s conference will build on what we have done and learned over the last three years about our organization, messaging, the value of managing a good business and working together to reach an important point of growth for our business. It is the place of imagining the unimaginable and creating a vision for AMVETS that we all can support. Creativity and ensuring you have a climate that supports it is invaluable in ensuring the health and credibility of any business. This is no less true for our AMVETS organization, especially during these very challenging times.
The presenters will speak on how to create value planning that is reasonable and executable as well as how to communicate that message. Additionally, we will hear from a special WWII veteran sharing her story of perseverance and determination at a time where the plans she saw for herself were not the plans others wanted to accept as available to her. Other important discussions will also occur including those around technology.
I again invite you to take advantage of this outstanding learning opportunity and to expand your understanding at the same time. Please don’t hesitate as space is limited. Register today!
