Program Alliances

AMVETS would like to acknowledge and thank the following organizations, institutions and agencies that are working with us in some fashion to;

  • Serve veterans
  • Assist the active military and their families (Including Guard and Reserve)
  • Promote shared visions
  • Enhance the quality of life for all of our nation’s citizens
    (Including children)

We encourage our Posts and Departments to learn more about each of these entities and look for the win-win opportunities to work together in accomplishing our mutual objectives. Each of these shared experiences has the potential to serve as “force multipliers.”

AMVETS LOOKS FOR WAYS TO SUPPORT ARMY’S COMMUNITY COVENANT PROGRAM
National Army program helps communities acknowledge service members and their families

Army Community Covenant offers a comprehensive Web site, www.communitycovenant.army.mil, where visitors can see how other communities have come together to honor their troops. The Web site also features a state-by-state breakdown of “best practices,” highlighting programs already in place within the community for members of the military and veterans.

Anyone interested in helping to organize an Army Community Covenant in their home town should contact their local leaders and Maj. Gen. Whelden at craig.whelden@celebration.fl.us.
