National Ser­vice Officers

One of the most impor­tant ser­vices AMVETS offers to vet­er­ans of all eras, is direct rep­re­sen­ta­tion when they file for ben­e­fits with the VA. At no cost to the vet­eran, an AMVETS National Ser­vice Offi­cer will sit down with a vet­eran, review his or her records and help them nav­i­gate the com­plex process of fil­ing claims and appeals to VA. Often AMVETS ser­vice offi­cers are con­ve­niently located at VA Regional Offices. Again, this is a 100% FREE service.

In 2011, AMVETS National Ser­vice Offi­cers filed more than 93,000 claims, appeals and ben­e­fits deliv­ery at dis­charge (BDD), and helped to recover more than $648 mil­lion for vet­er­ans and their fam­i­lies. Click here for more infor­ma­tion, or to locate an AMVETS ser­vice offi­cer near you.
