When are submissions for small business grants accepted?

Submissions for the Veteranpreneur business grants are accepted from February 22, 2021 through September 24, 2021.

When will the grant winners be announced?

The winners of the Veteranpreneur business grants will be announced during the week of Veterans Day.

What do I need to qualify for this grant?

• Your business should be focused on a construction trade.

• You should be the majority shareholder in your business.

• You should have a business plan that is less than three years old.

• You must be at least a Journeyman in your trade or have been lead on projects within your trade, portfolio must be provided.

I am the spouse of a veteran, what documentation must I include when applying?

You can submit your spouse’s DD214 or VA summary of benefits as documentation.

My Veteran spouse is deceased, am I eligible?

Yes. You can submit your spouse’s DD214 or VA summary of benefits as documentation.

 

What if I am no longer married to a Veteran?

If you are no longer married to a veteran, you are not eligible for grant.

Can my child apply for this grant?

Children of veterans and service members are not eligible for the grant.
